📌 Why This Workflow?

Copy/pasting email intros is for interns. You're smarter than that—and your prospects deserve better.
This week, we’ll build a system that writes and sends personalized cold emails using OpenAI, triggered from a simple Airtable row or form submission—no code required.

🛠️ Tools You’ll Need:

⚙️ What This Workflow Does:

When you add a new lead to Airtable with a few key details (name, role, company, etc.)…
🔹 OpenAI writes a friendly, personalized cold email using that info
🔹 The message gets sent automatically through your email account
🔹 You can track opens and replies like a pro

👨‍🔧 How to Build It (Step-by-Step)

Step 1 – Build Your Airtable Base

Create a table with columns like:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Company

  • Role

  • Pain Point (optional, but gold if you have it)

  • Status (New, Sent, Replied)

Step 2 – Create a Scenario in Make.com

Trigger:

  • Watch Records in Airtable (filter for status = "New")

Action 1:

  • OpenAI – Create a Completion
    Use a prompt like:

“Write a cold email introducing our [your company] services to {{Name}}, a {{Role}} at {{Company}}. Keep it friendly, specific, and under 100 words. Highlight how we help solve [common pain point].”

Action 2:

  • Gmail – Send Email
Use OpenAI’s output as the body, and insert the subject line:

“Quick note for {{Name}} at {{Company}}”

Action 3 (optional):

  • Airtable – Update Record to mark as "Sent"

📊 Result:

  • Sends hyper-relevant outreach while you sleep

  • Takes 10 minutes to set up

  • Can scale up to 100+ leads per day

  • Makes ChatGPT your new SDR

💡 Pro Tips:

  • Use GPT-5 for smarter personalization if you have access (you should DEFINITELY get access for only $20/month)

  • A/B test subject lines by rotating prompt variants

  • Add Calendly links or CTAs dynamically in the prompt

  • Log replies to Airtable and flag hot leads

🧠 Bonus Idea: Combine this with a LinkedIn scraping tool like Clay or Phantombuster to fill your lead list on autopilot. More to come on these in future workflows.
